Terms of Service

The terms under which Handlflow provides its website design, build, and monthly hosting and care services.

1. Services

Handlflow designs, builds, and manages professional websites for small businesses. Website packages are one-time purchases: Quick Launch ($249), Business Website ($499), and Custom Website (starting at $899). Every website requires a monthly plan—Managed Hosting ($29/month) or Handlflow Care ($59/month)—which begins when the website launches. Handlflow also provides connected workflows, automation, and custom business systems as separate engagements when agreed in writing.

2. Website Packages

Quick Launch projects are paid in full before work begins. Business Website and Custom Website projects require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due before launch. Additional pages are $75 each. Advanced functionality may increase the final Custom Website price, which is confirmed after a short discovery conversation. Packages do not include domain registration or renewal, which are billed separately.

3. Monthly Plans

Every Handlflow website requires Managed Hosting ($29/month) or Handlflow Care ($59/month). Monthly service begins when the website launches. Managed Hosting includes secure hosting, SSL, technical monitoring, and platform management. Handlflow Care includes everything in Managed Hosting plus up to two small content updates each month, minor website fixes, and priority support. Unused monthly updates do not roll over. New pages, redesigns, advanced features, and major content changes are quoted separately. Work outside the Handlflow Care allowance is billed at $50 per hour. Clients may cancel a monthly plan before their next billing date; when the paid period ends, the website may be taken offline unless a transfer has been arranged.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide accurate business information, logo, photographs, and content in a timely manner, to maintain consent records for any customer communications, and to use the service in compliance with applicable laws. Clients must not attempt to access data belonging to other businesses.

5. Ownership

The client remains the registered owner of their domain. The client owns their business information, photographs, and materials provided to or created specifically for their website. Handlflow retains ownership of its reusable systems, templates, software, and development methods.

6. Human Control

Handlflow systems are human-controlled by default. Clients retain authority over approvals, escalations, and overrides. Automation does not replace human judgment for decisions requiring safety, legal interpretation, or emotional sensitivity.

7. Consent and Compliance

Clients are responsible for obtaining and documenting consent from their customers for any automated communication. Handlflow records consent source, date, and status and supports opt-out requests. Clients must not use the service to send unsupported marketing messages or to present AI-generated statements as verified facts.

8. Data and Security

Client data is isolated by business. Handlflow implements authentication, role-based access, multi-tenant separation, audit logs, and secure secret storage. Clients must not attempt to access data belonging to other businesses.

9. Acceptable Use

Clients must not use the service for unlawful purposes, to send spam, to misrepresent pricing or availability, or to automate decisions that should carry human accountability without appropriate review.

10. Billing and Cancellation

One-time package payments and deposits are due as described in Section 2. Monthly plan fees are billed in advance and begin only after the website is approved and published. Clients may cancel a monthly plan before the next billing date. To cancel, email steven@handlflow.com. Refund and cancellation policies are published alongside active engagements.

11. Limitation of Liability

Handlflow provides design, development, and automation tools to assist business operations. We are not liable for business outcomes resulting from automated actions, customer responses, or third-party system failures beyond our control.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to active clients.
